I was excited and thinking on applying the research for the fuel line I just finished for my 998 and thinking of applying this AN plumbing upgrade to the V4... (well at least from the fuel tank to the T junction going to upper and lower injectors) 😅
Here is the link to my post about it:
https://ducatimodified.com/threads/ducati-998s-fe-final-edition-replica-but-modified-far-beyond-the-original-build-thread.148/page-10#post-5059

But just realized Our V4 has super tight space and the fuel hose out of the fuel pump is super short (and it's use barb) so it will be harder to use the Staubli's... I mean everything is possible but I just feel that is not worth it unless I can replace everything with AN plumbing (without having the do custom welding on the fuel pump bracket)...
Here is the picture from spare part catalog and the super short hose #11 in the picture below is what I was thinking to be replaced with a dry break AN system... but again the barb connector out of the fuel pump is the deal breaker for me...

You can unscrew the welded dongle on the tank. All you would need to do is clean up the welds and screw in the new quick release

Hi Apuca,
Did you perform this modification on your tank? If yes, can you please share the picture? And also do you know the thread pitch or the model of the quick release that you use?
Thanks

Man! I just recently followed on some forum and can’t recall where, seemed like a pretty simple mod. No I have not performed it yet

Another delivery arrived yesterday and turn out, one of the parts is from AEM 🤩:
IMG_7515.JPG

I was hoping it is the TRICOLORE Gas Tank Cap for my 998 project that I orderded to AEM about 10 months ago 😅 but turn out it is the lower Billet Oil Sump/Pan protector for this 916 Anniversario project:
IMG_7517.JPGIMG_7519.JPG

IMG_7516.JPGIMG_7520.JPG

IMG_7518.JPG

I choose Gold Color instead of Red or Silver because it will be peeking out from the Peter Lieb's carbon fiber lower pan so it will create a great contrast once the fairing is back on the bike, and here is the test fit:
IMG_7521.JPGIMG_7522.JPG

I will try to install it later tonight...

I decided to spent a bit of time installing the AEM-Factory Lower Sump CNC Billet Guard.
The kit came with longer M6 x 25mm bolt from AEM (super nice Stainless Steel bolt)... however, I decided to upgrade it with M6 x 25mm Titanium from ProTi as usual 😉:

IMG_7647.JPGIMG_7648.JPG

Now, I replaced the lower belly pan with carbon fiber from Peter Lieb, so this Gold AEM-Factory will be peeking from the opening of the matte carbon fiber belly pan, and it will provide a GREAT Contrast

A very interesting package arrived today... so first of all, this item is going to be installed on my 998S FE Replica Build, however, since most of the user of this part is Panigale V4 user so I decided to post it here for now, and later when I am installing them, I will then post on my 998S FE Replica Build Thread ;)

So, what is this part? Well here it is, and it's say "RACE USE ONLY"
IMG_7993.JPG

Ok... so hmmm, well here are better pictures:
IMG_7997.JPGIMG_7994.JPG

IMG_7995.JPGIMG_7996.JPG

And yes, they are:
IMG_7998.JPG

This bike build had Brembo GP4-RR that came with Titanium Piston. I don't want the 998S FE Replica build to be jealous so the Brembo GP4-MS for 998S FE Replica build will have DLC Coated Titanium Pistons on it 🥳

Did you find a solution for this?
Hi Apuca,
If it is for the 998, I think I am just going to buy some AN connector and adapter but I did not find solution for the Panigale V4S tank without modifying the weld (and I don't plan to do that).

There are used damaged tanks on eBay fo practically nothing. Maybe it would be a good validating

I am currently on business trips for the next week or so, so don't have much time to work on my bikes. I spent Saturday uploading more stuff to sell on eBay and oh...
Since I am changing my GP4-MS caliper piston to Vented Titanium piston, then I also replacing the piston SEALS with a new one.
I just bought the seals and below are the Part# from Brembo (just arrived yesterday):

Some Ducati OEM Parts arrived"

My most favorite of them all is the Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale Seat. Back in December 2019 when I was looking at the bikes at several dealership, I notice the Panigale V4 Speciale Seat is the nicest among every version of the seats. I also don't like the red part on my 916 25 Anniversario seat... they look kinda plastiky red... so I made a promise that I will replace my seat with the Panigale V4 Speciale seat.
After waiting for 3 months (due to closure and delay from Ducati factory closing), I finally received it today. Please note that the black color on the center Alcantara section are much blacker/darker and nicer
than what my iPhone camera can capture and the red stitching also nicer in person than on the pictures below. Very happy today 😃

The Ducati SHARK FIN Carbon Chain Guard and Ducati Performance Titanium swing arm guard also arrived
(note: I sold my original titanium swing arm guard and buy again as accessories because only if you purchase as accesories, it will have the "Ducati Performance" Label on it) 😋:
View attachment 352View attachment 353

Ducati by Rizoma Brake Lever Guard, because my original one that came with my bike have blemishes so I buy another one (sold the original one at a low price to a forum member here):
View attachment 355

I also bought some original fairing stickers as a spare just in case plus some other Ducati original sticker and emblems for my project sticker on matte carbon fiber coming soon:
View attachment 356

Last, purchase the tank protector again (because my current one is peeling, I think because the cold winter weather when I first apply it,
along with Ducati Performance backing plate for US size license plate (I am ordering personalize license plate,
however, I need to wait a bit since CA DMV unable to produce it due to the current situation):

Where can I order this numberplate holder, I had to hack the factory one which was plastic and not happy with the look of it, any links to online store much appreciated - Cheers Frank

All good just found one on eBay, been hunting one for the last day or so, this is what they should supply Aussie customers as we run similar size number plate sizes in Australia as the US.

A second order from eBay (another UK seller) arrived today, and I am glad to see that this Ohlins sticker is slightly smaller than the first order so I can choose which size is the "ideal and proportional" 🤓

Below is the comparison picture between the 2 different sizes:
View attachment 3485

I need this sticker to be attached like on this picture below:
View attachment 3486

Everyday, I checked Ohlins website to see if they have the 2021 catalog out... (so far still 2020 catalog). I want to make sure they will not have a newer or better version of the TTX-GP rear shock before I buy it
so if the TTX-GP stay the same for 2021, I will order it, it look like this, with the separate Hydraulic PreLoad Adjuster:
View attachment 3487

Found this picture, installed on a Panigale V4, so I still have to figure out whether it can fit with the SC-Project WSBK exhaust, if not then time for another bracket project 😅:
View attachment 3488

I also already order the Motocorse Japan Adjuster Knob to replace the Ohlins Black PLASTIC knob on the Hydraulic Adjuster along with the DBT Motocorse Titanium Nut from our forum vendor @dennispowersport 😃.
Now, I am hoping if Ohlins decided to came up with a new version of TTX-GP, I hope this Motocorse Japan Adjuster Knob still will fit though, otherwise, it will be a waste 😅
View attachment 3489
Howard, do you know if the make this without the preload adjuster? With the rear SL4 subframe I do not have the option to bolt that.

I always love Friday evening, time to relax my mind by finding more things to modified 😃

So let's talk about rear master cylinder again:

The Brembo RACING Rear Billet Brake Master Cylinder With Reservoir Product code: XA2.C6.10 came standard with build in push rod. While the original stock rear MC has the removeable push rod.
That means, I need to replace the Ducati by Rizoma rear set push rod assy. with just a female rod end. Doing this modification also means I need to find a NEW helper springs.

There are several helper springs kit for rear master cylinder available, however none is as nice looking as this Japanese kit form G'craft. And because like some "undecided voter" out there, I was also having the same dilemma,
but only for "undecided color" 🤣 Because of that, I decided to just buy several kits with different based ring color and decided later. I also purchase the female rod end, picture below.
If you pay really close attention, the Gold and Red kit is the non adjustable model (spring tension), while the silver color is the full adjustable (spring tension) model.

View attachment 1197

After waiting for several weeks, my order arrived and I immediately want test fit them so I can choose the best color, however, I found one problem.
The Brembo push rod was M6 thread, while the Silver Anodized Gear Like adjuster hole is M8... ups...
so... I have to buy M8 to M6 thread adapter with the correct pitch, and I can't find it due to the pitch size... but... since I am not giving up even after few days of searching...
it finally pay off and I find the one and only seller who sell the M6 to M8 adapter with the right pitch and below is the picture of the thread adapter and when I install it:
View attachment 1202View attachment 1203

Ok, so now I am ready to test fit and see which color is the best (for my eye) 😜:

View attachment 1198View attachment 1199
View attachment 1200

And finally, I decided RED it is😌, so I proceed to test fit on the Ducati by Rizoma rearset:
View attachment 1201

Well, another problem arises... turn out that same adjuster anodized silver gear like plate hit the bracket of the carbon foot guard...
which means, I can't use the fully adjustable (spring tension) and have to use the cone shape spring. this after all the time I waste just to find the right thread adapter and then wait for it to arrive... but that's ok...

Now, remember the rod end that I bought from Japan together with the G'Craft helper springs kit, well, the cast is rough and I don't like it... so I purchase another rod end kit here in the good ol' USA 🇺🇸
In the picture below, you can see the top rod end is the one from Japan and the bottom on is the one from USA. The USA sourced is much nicer, right? so USA it is 🦸‍♂️

View attachment 1204

Ok, before I show you the assembled helper spring and rod end, I want to show you some other modification...

This time is for the nipple that will connect this Brembo Racing Billet rear master cylinder to the Ducati by Rizoma reservoir.
Initially, I thought (from the picture of the Brembo Racing Billet rear master before I buy it), the hole for the upper gold bolt is the regular banjo bolt thread, so I buy a nipple from Vibrant Racing and Anodized it in gold:
View attachment 1215

But I was wrong, the hole is much smaller, so again I look all around the world to replace that gold bolt plug with the right nipple and finally (took several days to look), I found one source in AUSTRALIA. They have 3 different nipples so I just buy all 3 of them since the shipping cost is high if I made mistake and need to order another one. And of course took couple of weeks to arrive and it finally arrived:
View attachment 1206View attachment 1207

View attachment 1208

After test fitting them I found the ideal length and diameter and install it onto the Brembo Racing Billet Rear MC. However it was made from Stainless Steel so I can anodized it gold. (Also notice the helper spring kit and end rod was still the wrong one):
View attachment 1209View attachment 1210

View attachment 1211

Oh, I forgot, I also use this o-ring to make a good seal:
View attachment 1212

And finally below is the correct configuration including the correct helper spring and end rod, plus notice the Stahlbus quick bleeder valve with the matching anodized red cap :

fiewww 😅 so many modification just for a Brembo rear billet master cylinder...seriously, I am already tired just posting this post now ... but wait there are more !!!o_O

I still need to replace some locking nut and also 2 bolts for the cover of the integrated reservoir with ProTi Titanium Bolt (will order soon),
and I am also wait for the correct diameter hose to connect between this Brembo rear billet master cylinder to the Ducati by Rizoma reservoir (which have different nipple and thus hose diameter),
and I also need to drill the 2 mounting holes for the Brembo Rear Billet Master Cylinder from threaded (as come from Brembo) to through hole, because the threaded part will be on the Ducati by Rizoma rear set.

But I am just waiting for the hose and already bought several different shape and diameter of nipple diameter adapter:

Howard can you talk me through why you chose this specific reservoir out of the current Brembo options?

I am glad you find it KODAKHODAK,
I believe I purchased mine from an eBay seller too long time ago...

Howard, do you know if the make this without the preload adjuster? With the rear SL4 subframe I do not have the option to bolt that.
Hi Apuca, they did not make the TTX GP without hydraulic preload adjuster.
But, I am pretty sure you can ask Ohlins specialist shop (like our forum official vendor Brad @MOTION SBK ) to modify it so you remove the hydraulic adjuster and replace it with manual adjustment like our stock rear shock. In fact, I believe many years ago, Ohlins use to offer option for manually adjusted preload to be upgraded to hydraulic preload adjuster. In your case, you need it the other way (back to manual).

Where did you order these from? I ordered from a German distributor and they did not come in such nice packaging.
Hi Apuca, do you mean the Titanium Piston for the Stylema/GP4-MS caliper? I bought mine from MCET: caliper piston titanium for Brembo GP4 MS calipers-ZB.704-1TI
