It is important to note there are now 2 businesses you can order Corse parts from in the USA. I am fairly certain you can order a WSBK akra system through one of them for significantly less than that ebay system is going for. I believe the Corse system is 7-8k. However, you must keep in mind everything Corse is for a Corse bike. The WSBK exhaust is highly likely to have all kinds of fitment issues with OEM parts. You very quickly go down a rabbit hole, which is when things get super expensive. Very rare to be able to buy a Corse part and just bolt it right up with a street machine. The rearsets are one exception, there might be a few other small things that are.

The two businesses you can get Corse parts from are HSBK racing and Superbike Unlimited. Corse is slowly becoming less unobtanium.

Hi MaverickiB,

Wow, that is a very good information... I really wish I knew that I can order Akrapovic racing only exhaust system from @Superbike Unlimited who is also our forum member.
Unfortunately (at least for me), I already pay deposit for SC-Project WSBK exhaust and cannot cancel the order...
but hopefully, other forum members here will be able to take advantage of this good information from you.

I checked with MotoMecanica in Europe which installed and had a video of this Akrapovic system posted on YouTube and they were asking about 11k EURO + VAT (sales tax) for it WITHOUT any ECU mapping, that is about $16k USD with shipping and VAT
I know that I am pretty stupid so far in spending money for this bike, but I try my best not to be that stupid 🥴 oh, and The ECU mapping quoted for another extra 1200 EURO plus VAT 😅

I also checked with Barni Racing directly (and also through one of very large distributor that is close to Barni Racing) and both of them can't get the Akrapovic anymore since Barni Racing no longer use Akrapovic and use SC-Project WSBK now.

Heck, I even contacted Akrapovic USA and now connected on LinkedIn with the US regional manager plus I "encourage" Ducati Regional Business Manager to see if Ducati can sell this system (ala 1299 Final Edition)... to no avail because they are just "not available" to general public... for now...

I guess this is just my destiny so SC-Project WSBK it is 😌

Note: What I really really want was to have a Termignoni Under Tail Exhaust System just like the original 916 that I once owned (and also since my bike is the 916 Anniversario 😉), however, the Termignoni WSBK system have the pipe running above the 2 twin muffler and I just don't like the looks of it... (especially if you are looking from the LEFT side of the bike, well the right side looks bulky too with that big carbon heat shield).
So after ordering the SC-Project WSBK, I was thinking of buying a pair of Termignoni Slip-On Universal Mufflers from another official forum vendor @Brock or @BrocksPerf (Brock's Performance). My plan is to install the SC-Project WSBK exhaust but replace the end muffler with Termignoni (with some customization of course)
However, it looks like the Termignoni Slip-On Universal Muffler only available with 54mm inlet diameter, while if I am not mistaken the SC-Project WSBK will be either 65mm or 70mm inlet diameter... so this is a no go... but let's see and I will measure the SC-Project pipe diameter once it arrived sometimes in February 2021.

This was the Termignoni Slip-On Universal Muffler that I was interested in using in combination with the SC-Project WSBK:

I understand the struggle. When I preordered the V4, I dreamt of an exhaust like the D16RR GP7 system. I saw the Motorcorsa racing team using the FM system on their bike and began the similar process of tracking down something that does not exist for the common person. Ended up getting ahold of the head of FM Project, who sent me a spare system that had seen light use and STM rearsets at wholesale because he wasn't sure if it would work with OEM rearsets. I think I ended up paying around 5k for the 3/4 system and rearsets. Now it is actually for sale for more than that and the rearsets are a couple dollars less than a grand. Got extremely lucky.

If that's what floats your boat, then I'm happy for you friend. I personally think that exhaust looks like they cared more about aesthetic than functionality. That type of undertail/belly exhaust isn't well suited as a slip-on. You're maintaining the coil under the seat and running another pipe right next to it, sounds like a terrible idea that will create unbearable heat. My FM system is the same setup minus the underseat OEM coil and still gets plenty hot. I also somewhat doubt the pipes are the same length for front/rear.

I know the price looks appealing, but I strongly recommend going with a better design if you want that aesthetic. FM sells their system as a 3/4 system if you want to save some money. SC project also has a beautiful undertail/belly option.

All those mods will help with engine heat, but they won't reduce the heat from layers of piping grouped up next to your leg. I don't doubt it can provide some performance benefits/sound cool, but once again I strongly recommend saving up for a decent system. One of those pictures is of the SC Project system by the way.

If it makes you happy, then sure. But I have a feeling like it's not gonna live up to your expectations. It looks like a chop shop custom exhaust, which is cool for custom choppers and stuff, but doesn't look right on an Italian superbike. Doesn't match the build quality of the rest of the bike. But ultimately, if it makes you happy, then go for it.

This is how I mounted my plate with a similar exhaust. Check with your local laws on legality of vertical plates first though. I got talked to a few times by police, but it *technically* was legal. The SC system is offset to one side so it is easier. The system you're looking at is centerline, so a horizontal plate is gonna stick out the side of the bike

You're going to put the plate below the exhaust? I tried doing that but ran into issues routing the plate light wiring in a way that wouldn't melt, and the rear fender would collide with it at full compression. There isn't as much room to work with as you think, unfortunately.

My exhaust is the FM Project system. I got it back before it was commercially available, purchased a spare straight from the Motocorsa racing team with STM rearsets for roughly 5 grand. UpMap was around 350 dollars and mounting was combined with another service, I think total the service was for 9 hours of labor. So north of 6 grand for the total cost of everything. My cousin and I fabricated a custom license plate bracket out of spare metal he had lying around.

You shouldn't need to pay to install it. It's a slip-on, so installation should be pretty easy with a set of basic tools. Basically just need an allen key set and either exhaust spring pullers or a handful of zip ties :)
