Gear relearn procedure

I was able to complete the procedure. I had the sensor inverted. I did it with cold engine and everything seemed to be ok on the test run. I wonder why they require the engine to be warm when doing it?

Something I read said it was easier to slip into gear when warm. I did it cold and haven't had a problem. I'm sorry, I've been busy with work but I'm glad you got it sorted.

That’s what I was thinking. Thanks for the tips tho. Helpful. Track day today, let’s hope it goes smoothly

Just went through this exercise on '22 V4S. It is VITAL that your battery state of charge be at maximum and preferably connected to another backup battery or a charger. The learning procedure relies on electrical signals to calibrate so anything less than what is expected fails. I also found it helpful to rotate the rear wheel back and forth a lot. Good luck, it's a PITA.
