An 1199S Project

Still working on other bikes and a bit distracted with the restoration of my 1979 SSD Darmah. To add to my distraction is this new bike I imported from Japan to Australia. It is originally a 1984 model Ducati Mike Hailwood Replica MHR900. It has a few upgrades such as twin piston front calipers and Ohilins remote reservoir rear shocks. The fairing is a NCR replica and the fuel tank seat and tail is all one piece fibreglass NCR replica. This bike also has Keihan FCR 39mm flat slide carburettors, instead of the standard 40mm Delortos. It has been on display in a motorcycle shop for many years so I need to change fuel lines, bleed brakes etc.

Thanks H. Today I ordered some more Proti, but not for a bike. I have used some Proti Ti in Silver to pretty up my engine bay in my good car. Great products but so expensive.

Hello all,
Added some Proti Ti to the clutch cover and the generator cover. Quite a lot of screws in total. You can buy them as a kit so cheaper than individual purchase.

I normally like to take weight off the Panigale but I decided to remove the genuine DPCarbon Fibre clutch and generator covers. They looked good and were light but not really fit for purpose. Minimal amount of protection especially the gen cover. I have now replaced them with the GB Racing covers which looked very sturdy. A little weight penalty but worth it if I drop it.
