In this discussion you will find many excellent information on ECU and BBS Tuning, since both are closely related.

Hmmmm,...

This shows that the stock V4 engine can use the V4R style rear cylinder exhaust manifold, if I knew about this, I would not purchase the Ilmberger Carbon Manifold cover and just buy the original Ducati V4R rear exhaust manifold and carbon cover
the power rating of the V4SP is exactly the same as regular V4 engine

so did you replace your panigale V4 rear cylinder exhaust manifold with the V4R rear cylinder manifold?
Did you also change the mapping of the ECU or you still use the standard V4 engine map?
Was the blue cable, a longer O2 sensor cable? Where did you purchase those blue cable from?

The exhaust manifold has been replaced with a V4R. The blue cable is the O2 sensor. I needed an extension to run the same wiring as the V4R. I made my own using blue braided fibre. The ECU and BBS are an Italia rexxer system, updated to Racing only EVO2. Italia rexxer DTC&DQS EVO2

Because so far, I cannot find any tuner or tuning device that can show "Racing Evo" like the original Akrapovic map from Ducati. All tuner/tuning device that I found so far always show "Racing Pro"

However, the map from Rexxer will make the dashboard shows "Racing Evo" when you just turn the ignition on, is this correct?

Also, when you say Italia RexXer, do you mean you get the tuner and map from:

This system is identical to the Ducati Traction & Wheelie Control Evo 2 (96580201A) on the Ducati performance. The only difference is that there are no changes to the DSB (no rain or slick indication).

The ECU mapping available on the 96580201A is for the akrapovic full exhaust and akrapovic slip-on, as well as customised stock exhaust mapping

The rexxer system comes with four ECU mappings and two BBS mappings.

Download the akrapovic full ok mapping with a functioning Lambda sensor and you'll see the racing EVO display.

Akrapovic slip on ok will be marked as Racing.

If you have bypassed the Lambda sensor, racing cks ok etc., it will show up as racing pro.


About ecu maps:
- V4 akrapovic full ok: if your exhaust is very open and without db killer you can try it.
- v4 akrapovic slip on ok: is for terminal approved with db killer.
- v4 racing cks ok: is for racing terminal with LAMBDA probes excluded (if you want you can disconnect them).
V4 racing cks ok: is for racing terminal with LAMBDA probes excluded (if you want you can disconnect them).
V4 put it only with BBS original ok: it's like "racing cks ok" but you have to use with stock BBS (Original Bbs) if you want racing map without error on dashboard.

There are two BBS mappings, one for Racing only EVO2 and one for standard.

The signage has now been changed from italy rexxer to XECU

Before trying the rexxer system, I tried the Tuneboy system as well. If you just want to label it as Racing EVO, you can do it with Tuneboy.

The current version of the Tuneboy is a system that unlocks the ECU and allows the ignition and fuel to be adjusted to match the current vehicle.
You can flash the ECU with Tuneboy's akrapovic full.slip-on mapping, but the BBS doesn't support it, so DTC.DWC.DSC etc. are disabled.
This may be good for people who don't need electronic controls.
There was no problem with the running itself.

I tried a combination of rexxer's only for racing EVO2 BBS and Tuneboy's akrapovic full ECU. With this combination, everything worked fine.

A little extra information.

Video.Racing EVO is indicated, but the display at the bottom right of the instrument dashboard panel, DTC.DWC.DSC etc., is blinking, indicating that its function is limited.

On Tuneboy it is possible to remove the Lambda Sensor with the Racing EVO display, but if you want to remove the Lambda Sensor on a rexxer, use the special ECU mapping that allows you to bypass the error. In that case, however, it will be marked as Racing pro.

Hi bro nice to know but this one can be dangerous i think if u don't have DTC.DWC.DSC ...if the floor is wet N u don't have it... :eek: with 200HP at the wheel😱😱😱
anyway i have send a mail to REXXER N Xecu i wait for an answer thanks bro few days ago T800 UP MAP was my choice now i just need to choose N i have to e-mail Tuneboy too

we don't know about this type of exhaust, but our XECU User can hold up to 4 racing maps, so we can give you 4 maps to try.
It is a plug & play tool, so it connects to the motorcycle diagnostic socket and is a touch screen. It can contain up to 4 racing maps + original map. You will be able to switch from one map to another in complete autonomy and an unlimited number of times, you will be able to return to the original mapping with all the factory settings without leaving a trace of previous work. Attached photo of the tool. The kit includes the tool, dedicated wiring, software (a computer with Windows operating system must be used), instructions and pc / tool cable. How it works: you have to connect it to the motorbike through the diagnostic socket, it reads the original map if the maps inserted in the memory of the device are compatible with the ecu of the motorbike, XECU User will propose the appropriate maps for the motorbike / if the maps are not compatible it will be necessary to download the original map read via software, send it by e-mail to us and wait for the racing map (s) to write the desired racing file, you have to disconnect the device from the bike.

I wonder what kind of DEVICE needed to upload the new software for the BBS.

To make changes to the BBS and ECU, you will need a "Kvaser Leaf Light HS v2", a CAN-Converter to connect to your PC. You will also need a cable to connect the vehicle to the Kvaser.


The ECU and BBS flashing is done with software provided by rexxer. Each mapping is also provided with a unique VIN number built in.
