Here is a potato phone picture of a new model in the V4 line up.
This bike looks great in black with the red accents
You can see the SL carbon wheels and calipers. Dry clutch Ducati performance rearsets.

Looks like exposed aluminium tank like the R too?
Any clue if it’s the 1103 engine or not?

The picture is not clear and my eyes might be wrong but I believe the rear exhaust manifold cover is the "R" style so R engine?

But wow a 2021 Ducati Panigale V4-SP is going to be the big news for this coming year, I hope it will be available with official undertail exhaust :)

Also, an interesting articles link below:

Copy and paste a paragraph from the CycleWorld article with link above:

That just leaves the 1703 Project as an unidentified model, but again there’s a potential clue in the paperwork. The documents list a new version of the 1,000cc V-4 engine used by the Panigale V4 R WSBK homologation special, dubbed the “second step,” with a seventh VIN character of “U.” Current 2020 Panigale V4 Rs have the seventh character "S" for the original 1,000cc V-4. The current V4 R has been unchanged for two years, and Ducati normally updates its WSBK homologation machines every other season, so we’re on schedule for a revamped version as the firm tries to get its hands back on the WSBK title for the first time since Carlos Checa won on the 1198R nearly a decade ago.

Confirmed its a 1103cc engine.
Hmmmm,...

This shows that the stock V4 engine can use the V4R style rear cylinder exhaust manifold, if I knew about this, I would not purchase the Ilmberger Carbon Manifold cover and just buy the original Ducati V4R rear exhaust manifold and carbon cover
the power rating of the V4SP is exactly the same as regular V4 engine

Well actually, I might spoke to soon, no wonder this SP version had new engine code/homologation turn out it have slightly different exhaust system and more advanced than even the V4R,

Capture.JPG

It has 4 lambda probes vs. 2 lambda probes for V4S and V4R.
It also has EURO5 emission spec

and it is ready for.... "HEATED GRIPS" 🤣 that is funny... an SP model is the first Panigale ready for heated grips...

what interesting is the engine peak torque arrived at 500rpm sooner...

Just finished watching the YouTube video above, I came under the assumption that for 2021, there will be no V4R ?
Maybe there are just too many 2020 V4R unsold in the dealership that Ducati decided to skip 2021 V4R?
I remember last year when I was shopping for my bike, there were still too many 2019 V4R unsold that some dealer offer $35k even before I bargain...
