Almost there! Haha
Saw some pics of your bike as well @craig bush, looking unreal - sounds like you had a good few days at Cota?

AndyPreliminary look at the new design. There’s some refining to be done with a paintbrush to just smooth up some of the edges (and finish off the corse logo at the front). Far from a perfect finish but I’m happy with the ‘home job’ look since it’s just a track bike now & will probably see a tank cover before too long anyway. A couple layers of topcoat to finish and seal in the job after. Next, to figure out what look to do with the fairings…

I’ve been tossing that up in my mind all day. Going to my local dealer tomorrow to get some stuff already and was gonna ask them if they have those touch up pens in red which could work or if there’s any Ducati stickers lying around their shop. Would make a much neater job for sure.Andy
Have you thought about just using OEM decal for the tank badge
Or get one made ?
Cheers

Some kind of hybrid 1299 anniversario/FE & 1199R design might have one more little feature to add if I can conceive something in the next couple of days.Love the design. It will stand out for sure. Awesome job.
That is what we called, Track Weapon, Ready and LoadedAfter several layers of clear coat to preserve whatever sort of paint job I’ve done I can reveal the latest modified update.

Back at the track on Monday, hoping I can ride adequately with a broken thumb (getting my excuses in early )

It looks fantastic
This is going to be my winter bike project. I love a brushed aluminum tank.First bit of Ducati Modified from me in a little while so thought I’d make the wait worth it.

Slow process with the amount of paint stripping, scraping and sanding on repeat to get to this point, still a bit more to do to get the finish I’m after before finalising a paint scheme but it’ll be worth the effort.

I got bumped up a group after that haha. But I did manage to wear the rear out on its third day, thinking I might try the metzeler td slicks next (?) as a set of those is cheaper than a supercorsa rear.Lol you passed the whole grid on the straight.
wowMy mate chucked his gopro on my bike the other day and threw a few of the clips together for me. Sure looks pretty sedate through parts of it, at one point I just about bottom the forks out as someone cuts across me in turn one. Added another click or two in the compression after that and started braking a little harder in places to make up some time. Times are coming down bit by bit which is a good sign, still so much to work on
