For carbon fiber bits, as of now I don’t have much, been using motocomposites, was recommended to them from a friend, good product a lil thin but that just means less weight.

OEM ALUMINUM HEEL GUARDS = 0.102kg
NEW CARBON FIBER = 0.034kg
Savings = 0.068kg, 0.149lbs

shock guard = 0.041kg
CF shock guard = 0.037kg
Savings = 0.004kg or 4 grams, did this mainly for cosmetics,

total savings from CF so far = 0.072kg, 0.158lbs

will be doing more soon, IMG_5155-compressed.jpegIMG_5171-compressed.jpegIMG_5352-compressed.jpegIMG_5339-compressed.jpeg

So in total we have cut approx. 23+lbs off Valentina. (Assumed weight for new windscreen and old mirrors and new ones based off ChatGPT, need to do official weigh in)

Here is a rough excel with all weight savings

best bang for buck would be charcoal canister delete for 40$ including shipping she dropped off 1.2lbs, exhaust was about 120$ per lb saved,IMG_0206.png

NEXT STEPS,
OZ wheels, brake rotors, sprockets, chain, etc. all your basic easy items. Trying to get her rotational mass down,

BIGGER PICTURE ITEMS

I am looking into a 1199 or a 1299 aluminum tank, there is not a lot of hard data I found on actual weight savings. The v2 tank is made out of stainless steel, unlike the v4 and 1199-1299 having aluminum tanks.
Going with the tank, I’ve been eyeing up a pierobon rear aluminum subframe. Should help take off a combined 3-6lbs? Can’t find proper numbers….🤦🏻‍♂️

address engine temp issue, maybe larger coolant capacity, maybe update water pump, info to follow…

Valentina will be used on the track and on the street, (mostly street with a few track days a couple times a year for fun) so need to retain stock plastics and lights etc.

Any insight on tank swaps and sub frames would be great, weights, favorite brands etc.

have ordered a few new parts, more to follow

While I wait for new parts I get to enjoy Valentina, just a few days ago she hit 1100 miles, so I’ll do one more oil change and change oil filter, etc.

Overall love the bike, so glad to have it, want to buy 3 more. love the exhaust, can’t wait to have her “perfect” (no such thing but I can pretend for now) IMG_5537-compressed.jpegIMG_5582-compressed.jpeg
