No doubt a silly question, but…

I don’t want to make some silly mistake!

I’m putting Jetprime switches on. On the left side the switches have a long cable but it looks like the OEM cable disappears into the loom and so I assumed I should take the cable out of the OEM switches and tuck it all away somewhere.

Here’s the question… how do I remove the cable from the OEM switches? It’s quite deep in the switch and I don’t see an obvious plastic tab - all I can see is a small metal spring of some kind.

No doubt a silly question and blindingly obvious to all but me…

The cable for the left and right controls pulls right out of the control housing. It pulls straight out.

It can backout on it's own which causes some of the left hand controls to be unresponsive. The only way it's really retained is by the rubber ties which bind the cables to the brake or clutch lines.

I gave it a little pull and it seemed like it was held in. Someone showed me a picture of the connector and it had a little bit sticking up that looked like it was designed to hold it in.

I’ll give it another gentle go…
