I use an EarthX battery in my V4, it is damn near half the size of the OEM battery and has a built-in BMS that attempts to disable the battery before it reaches the point of total death. Really good option for track bikes or bikes that will sit for a long time.
I had to cut mine a bit to make them fit with my extended tank shape and I think it was easy and smooth enough to not be super noticeable. R&G ones are fairly thin and don't have a lot of material to create fraying or odd cutting lines.
R&G grips are pretty good, the logo sticker is separate so you can choose not to use it. They are also fairly easy to cut. I like their texture, it's more of a grainy/rough texture to grip on instead of the more plastic grips that feel "sticky." They improve grip without destroying your...
That makes sense. I have definitely scraped the belly pan while loading it up in a trailer. Angle wasn't very steep, so I bet loading it up into a truck could cause a more extreme mishap. Learned why I always see race bikes loaded up with the belly pans removed.
Is that oil pan protector not for the Streetfighter mostly? Don't see how it would be much use on a Panigale, but have seen Streetfighter ones get beat up by rocks and whatnot and guys have rigged protectors for it.
While their welding isn't pretty, I'm sure it does the job well. A decent shop or just a skilled hand could probably clean them up a bit. Fresh coat of paint and it'll look pretty.
The second cooling tank was a recall/TSB very early on. My V4 did not come with one, but they put it on there at my 600 mile service I believe. I have never seen fluid inside of it. If coolant levels are correct, I have a hard time believing the fluid can make it into the secondary tank...
I didn't use that side mount, but my setup is very similar. Using a side mounted damper requires a few things.
1. Removal of the secondary coolant expansion tank.
2. Removal of a clamp that wraps around the coolant hose that runs behind the frame. (This is where the damper bolts on the frame)...
You already did the legwork, so it's probably a bit late, but Superbike Unlimited ran into the same problems on their V4R build and had to get custom length oil cooler hoses. They'd be a good resource to contact if you want to verify specs on what fits.
I'm not sure if you can mix and match fairings, but I do know that working on your bike yourself or at a shop that isn't part of the Ducati network does not void the warranty as long as some form of reasonable proof you did it correctly is provided, such as you having a service manual.
Once its...
The trellis looks like a Tamburini factory frame that's been painted. I'd recognize those welds anywhere. Very curious as to how it affects handling, very few people taking the chance on Tamburini stuff these days since it looks like their welder has Parkinson's.
Federal regulations require all vehicles to be sold with catalytic converters, but local regulations may vary as far as post-sale goes. California has it's own extremely strict regulations, any emissions equipment must be state-approved, which aftermarket exhausts absolutely aren't. That is...
My rear brake was ridiculously squishy and borderline useless while the ABS was hooked up, no matter how much I bled it. Instantly became functional with the ABS delete.
