Just replaced BBS unit v4s Panigale…Now what?

This is my first time posting as I very recently joined. I’ve learned a lot over the years from the various forums but now find myself in need of some specific insight as my bikes have become heavily modified. I don’t and won’t claim to know everything and I don’t sit and wait for the opportunity to enter a discussion for the sole purpose of showing complete strangers how much I know for my own sake. Just a preface.

Moving forward…. I bought an 18 v4s with 4k miles. It was a cash deal and it was too good to pass up. It had been treated well and probably never run beyond fourth gear. First task was to install a new water pump after I noticed a small amount of water in the oil. It could have been condensation but knowing that the water pump had six or seven revisions, I went ahead and replaced it so that I wouldn’t have to revisit it after I was done with all of the extras. I installed manual adjusters on the forks, swapped out the rear shock with that from a 22 v4r which was new in box, removed all of the unwanted electronics, made some block offs, bought some blockoffs as well, titanium exhaust, brake pads, brake and clutch lines, quick action throttle, new buttons both sides, new corsa Corta masters both sides, grips, ima clip ons, art racing triple, fullsix cf all the way around, sc3 td tires, titanium reservoirs, new gas cap, Jetprime kill switch, race seat, moto holders subframe and fairing stay, titanium bolts and screws, aella frame sliders, titanium axle, radiator guard in titanium, RnG side covers, stm dry clutch conversion, new clutch slave, tune by Deussen, direct drive sprocket and gears, trans logic QS, and SBK spider rear sets and frames. I’m sure there are things missing but one gets the idea. After installing everything and it running amazing, a short time after, I got the full Christmas tree of lights on the dash, at my first track day this year. After looking at every inch of the wiring in every harness and plug, I decided to replace the BBS unit. I had removed some of the engine lights with my OBDstar but I lost everything controlled by the BBS unit. My Quickshifter wouldn’t even show up in the settings menu and it didn’t matter how many times I adjusted the settings, the ABS error, DTS, DLS, etc. would show an error on the bottom right of my dash.

After reworking and cleaning up some of the plugs and harnesses, I pushed the kill switch and nothing happened. I ended up removing the kill switch and re installing the oem ignition as I believed that the new BBS might have to sync with the oem ignition. Then my dash asks for a pin. I never set a pin but was able to guess it. Most of this information I’ve laid out for others that might have experienced the same symptoms and have wasted the amount of time that I did before replacing the damn BBS. I tried all of the relearn procedures, I swapped out all of the sensors, but not the speedometer ring. Last part is a question for anyone that might have the answer.
I know I have to input the mileage and program it using my obd2, but beyond that, is there anything else that I will need to do and can it be done with the OBDStar or is another type of programmer and software needed to complete the process? Is there anything at risk if I don’t program it beyond the mileage input? Mechanical things are more my skill set than the computer stuff so any help or knowledge that anyone can share would be greatly appreciated- because I wouldn’t ask if I knew it all. Sorry for the lengthy read, but I figured I’d include as many details as possible. Thanks in advance to anyone that shares.
