Has anyone fitted one of these with the high-exit Akrapovic?
The bolts that attached the hangers for the exhaust are too long - did your rear subframe come with spacers for this?
Z04 pads.
I tend to be light and long on brakes and I found was having to brake later, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing of course, but the difficulty was modulating the release into the corner. I was getting used to it at the end and still managed to go faster at that circuit than I did...
@Bruce Wayne Have you had the chance to try your master cylinder yet?
With the 19x18 after a few sessions, I’m finding that my entry speed into corners has slowed down. It doesn’t feel wooden, but perhaps there’s not quite enough modulation.
I have discovered (the painful way) that the 2023 V4R (along with the SP and SP2) has a shorter ring nut than the other V4 models, so the Spider upper triple that I got does not fit and I would guess that many of the upper triples advertised for the V4 models will also not fit.
Does anyone know...
Spider 42mm offset clip-ons arriving on Monday along with the upper triple, so I should be able to get everything fitted this week as I don’t expect issues with these. That will allow me to fit the 19x18 master cylinder and I’ll be able to try it at Brno at the end of this month. I finally got...
I fitted the Extreme Components clip-ons today. Unfortunately, they do not seem to work with the OEM brake lines. I guess because of less offset but the lines seem very tight and I am unable to turn the levers down much. Rather disappointing.
I gave it a little pull and it seemed like it was held in. Someone showed me a picture of the connector and it had a little bit sticking up that looked like it was designed to hold it in.
I’ll give it another gentle go…
I don’t want to make some silly mistake!
I’m putting Jetprime switches on. On the left side the switches have a long cable but it looks like the OEM cable disappears into the loom and so I assumed I should take the cable out of the OEM switches and tuck it all away somewhere.
Here’s the...
Looks great. (y)
I’ll be very interested to hear what you think of the 18x18.
Hopefully I’ll get my 19x18 fitted soon and see how it is with my OEM Stylema.
Get well soon!
So, my upgrade options seem to be:
- Titanium pistons on the Stylema as they are plenty good enough.
- GP4-MS -...
Did you try it yet? I assumed you meant the 19x18.
I’ve bought the 19x18 CNC master to try out of curiosity - if I don’t like it then it will be perfect for a brake upgrade on my SportClassic.
I went for Extreme Components clip-ons - they have the cut-out for the locating lug on the OEM upper...
True. I do remember the days before email when you would pick up a telephone and speak to someone… crazy! :ROFLMAO: We used to send letters to Clients and a couple of weeks or so later get a reply by letter… it’s a different world now.
Perhaps I will give it a try but I do think in any...
I wasn’t planning on changing the clutch master - it’s not like I use it much.
I thought the banjo bolt pressure switches weren’t supposed to be all that sensitive from a few things that I read? Then again, my rear brake uses one (CNC Racing rearsets and they come with that type of pressure...
Well I’ll have to give up waiting for Melotti to respond. I sent my initial enquiry two weeks ago. One week ago I got an email saying sorry for the delay and their technical team will get back to me shortly. Despite two reminders I have still not had a response.
I can’t wait forever so I think...
