V4s from street to track

This year i've made a crazy change, sold my beloved 749s because the V4 bite me
.
I only ride at track for fun and pleasure. Long time i quit riding at street.

Present some pictures of what i've done so far on V4, nothing major, mostly just aesthetic.

The folowing 4 pictures resumes the major aesthetic change done..IMG_20200724_103624.jpgIMG_20200728_000135.jpgIMG_20200903_151202.jpg

The track fairings are inspired on 916 anniversary

Have to say i'm very impressed with quality of these track fairings from Flamingo Corse!

Here are some pictures of the painting done.

Nice little detail of the painting process, the gun used was a Pininfarina :)

Added some protections on bike, like side engine covers and radiator guard:

Progrip 717 Grips and ducati performance bar ends that i kept from my 749s were added and also TWM quick release fuel cap

Installed Brembo Rc pads, brembo 660 brake fluid and some nice Pirelli Superbikle tires.

Hi Duc_tmmc,

That is a trully MAJOR aesthetic change and a GORGEOUS one too !!!

I also love those Race Track Circuit layout that you painted on the wall of your office, very artistic (y)

By the way, do you paint the fairings your self in your shop?

Painting was done at friends shop, it was amazing experience from start to finish.
Being able to help in the process and being part of the project was very cool.👌

I love your smily face knee pads (y)
Wow, you are really serious about track use, with the tire warmer !
And I assume this is in Estoril Circuit in Portugal, right?
That's is a legendary race track 🏁

Tire warmer with slicks its a must!! It boosts also your confidence;)
This pictures are indeed from Estoril Circuit, awesome track, that its back to world superbike calendar this year due the actual panorama.
Here in Portugal we have 2 very good track, this one, Estoril and the rollercoaster Portimão that it will debut F1 and Moto GP 🤩

Hi Duc,
I noticed your AEM rear sprocket is a 520, but your DID chain is a 525, do you plan to use a 520 or 525?
Also that Gilles Tooling rear set looks spectacular ! 😘

Since you plan to use this on the track only, I found out, the Front Cylinder Manifold of the V4R is the same as the V4S, however the stock Rear Cylinder Manifold of the V4R is different and much shorter.
I think this shorter rear cylinder manifold of the V4R would benefit the HIGH RPM use at track like in your application.

So, if you decide to use the slip on Akrapovic, maybe you can find some used stock V4R Rear Cylinder Manifold on eBay and use it with your slip on, (without having to purchase the full Akrapovic system).

The V4R Rear Cylinder Manifold cover also look simpler compare to our stock one. I was thinking of doing this,
but I already bought a rear carbon cover for the V4S stock rear cylinder manifold (before I found out about this) so I decided to stick with my current one for now...

Quite a leap from the 749! That’s a beautiful v4, is your primary decision for getting Akra so you have the upmap?

Regarding the rear sprocket in fact the picture shows 520 but i ordered 525. Before i order I asked them if it was possible to take a picture of two configurations that i couldnt decide and that moment they only had 520 pitch. The 525 sprocket is in process of hard anodizing treatment.:D

The 2 configurations were this:
IMG_5565.jpeg

IMG_5567.jpeg

Decided with the second one because the bike is mainly red and it would be too much red all around.. Personal taste

Slip on Akrapovic is also on the way and never thought and didnt know that they were differences between v4r and v4s exhausts manifolds.. Will have a look at that.;)
Thanks for the info👍👍

Regards,
Tiago
